Bollywood star hero Ajay Devgn is reportedly bankrolling an ambitious period action-creature film. Gehraiyaan fame Siddhant Chaturvedi will play the lead role. What’s interesting about this project is that it will be directed by Neha Sharma, the actress who made her debut with Chirutha, the same film that also introduced star hero Ram Charan.
A report in News18 mentioned that the project is being made for a leading OTT platform and carries a scale rarely seen in Indian cinema. Initially, Ajay Devgn was said to have been approached to play a parallel lead. However, the actor has reportedly chose to pass on acting duties and instead come on board as producer under his own banner.
Mohit Raina will play the other lead role. The pre-production is currently underway with plans to take the film on floors in October. Udaya Bhanu is actively participating in promotions, and in an interview, the popular anchor revealed that she was approached for the special song in Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram’s all-time blockbuster Attarintiki Daredi. She said, “I said no to the ‘It’s Time to Party’ song in Trivikram Garu’s Attarintiki Daredi. I felt tensed and was also skeptical about doing it. I thought I might be ignored when featured alongside big stars.”
“It’s basically a song with many dancers. Trivikram Garu also tried to convince me, but I was firm in my decision. I have absolutely no regrets about not doing that special song. I felt happy that I made a decision according to my will,” She concluded.
