Megastar Chiranjeevi and hit machine Anil Ravipudi have teamed up for a family entertainer. The movie, tentatively titled Mega157, stars Nayanthara as the leading lady. The shoot, which was progressing at a brisk pace, was recently halted due to the ongoing Tollywood strike.
In Mega157, Chiranjeevi’s screen name is Siva Shankara Vara Prasad, which also happens to be Megastar’s birth name. In the past few months, rumors suggested that the film’s title would be ‘Mana Siva Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.’ Fans, however, felt the title was too long and lacked spark.
Here’s the clarification: the rumors don’t hold any truth. Today, Anil Ravipudi attended the teaser launch of Little Hearts, presented by ETV Win. Nitin Chakravarthy, the OTT platform’s content head, thanked the director for attending and referred to him as Siva Shankara Vara Prasad. He also confirmed that the rumored title isn’t the official one.
Further, the director made it clear that the official title doesn’t contain the word ‘Sankranthi’ in it. The title is expected to come out on August 22, marking Chiranjeevi’s birthday. Catherine Tresa is playing another female lead. Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela are bankrolling the movie under the banners Shine Screens and Goldbox Entertainment, respectively, with Bheems Ceciroleo composing the tunes.
