Rajamouli’s father and veteran script writer KV Vijayendra Prasad has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. In a Facebook post, the 78-year-old writer has urged his professional collaborators and friends to not call him for the next 2 weeks until he completes his mandatory home isolation.

On the work front, besides penning the script for the highly-anticipated period magnum opus, RRR, Vijayendra Prasad has also written the upcoming Jayalalithaa biopic, Thalaivi, and another mythological film based on the epic Ramayana, Sita. He is also in talks for a Tamil project featuring a top star.

Star heroine Pooja Hegde will be seen in a special role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya. Pooja has been paired opposite Ram Charan in this Koratala Siva directorial. Pooja had already wrapped up shooting for her part in the movie.

Meanwhile, the latest reports reveal that Pooja will be seen in the role of a tribal girl in Acharya. It’s well known that Ram Charan plays a Naxalite in this intense social drama. The scenes featuring Pooja and Charan will be quite earthy and emotional.

Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy are jointly bankrolling the project. The film is slated for release on May 13.

Yesterday morning, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and revealed that he tested positive for Novel Coronavirus. Akshay’s revelation left his fans and colleagues shocked. And this morning, Akshay’s latest tweet has made everyone anxious.

Akshay said that he has been hospitalized but is doing fine. “Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon,” said the 53-year-old actor.

Meanwhile, India has registered a worrying 1,03,558 new cases in the last 24 hours. This is the highest single day number ever since the pandemic entered India last year.
