Young actor Syed Sohel is fully utilising the popularity he had amassed during his stint in the hit reality game show, Bigg Boss Telugu 4. Sohel, who has already signed a couple of films as a hero, has just signed his next project and an official announcement has been made this morning on the occasion of Sohel’s birthday.

Sohel’s new film will be bankrolled by noted producer Bekkem Venu Gopal under Lucky Media banner. The film is touted as a unique romantic entertainer and details regarding the film’s director, heroine and other cast and crew members will be out soon. Global Films banner will be co-producing this as-yet-untitled film.

Star hero Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film, Vakeel Saab, released on April 9 and registered solid collections in its first weekend. Meanwhile, Pawan, one of Vakeel Saab’s leading ladies Nivetha Thomas and producer Dil Raju had tested positive for COVID-19 and isolated themselves. While Nivetha and Dil Raju had already recovered from the virus, Pawan is currently undergoing treatment at his farmhouse.

Yesterday, Vakeel Saab’s director Sriram Venu interacted with the media and addressed the criticism of Vakeel Saab’s team being the ‘super spreader’ of COVID-19. “There is no truth to the ongoing rumours that the entire team of Vakeel Saab has tested positive for COVID-19. We all are taking the COVID tests on a daily basis and the results are negative. We also have families and we are taking all the necessary precautions,” Sriram Venu said.

Nani’s ambitious period drama, Shyam Singha Roy, has already entered its final leg of shooting. The film’s last schedule is currently underway at a specially erected set that resembles the vintage Kolkata. Popular Art Director Avinash Kolla is the man behind the massive set that was built in a 10-acre land in Hyderabad.

Apparently, Shyam Singha Roy’s makers have shelled out a whopping Rs 6.50 crore to build this giant set. Nani is also taking part in the ongoing schedule. SSR also features young beauties Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Krithi Shetty in lead roles. This Rahul Sankrityan directorial is being produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainment banner. Mickey J Meyer is composing the soundtrack.
