Mollywood Megastar Mammootty’s new film Kalamkaval hit the screens on December 5, 2025, and opened to decent reports. Jithin K Jose made his directorial debut with this crime thriller.

The film collected about Rs. 5 crore gross on day one. On day two, theatres across Kerala added nearly 275 late night shows, which reflects the strong response the movie has been generating. The second day numbers are expected to surpass the opening day.

Vijayakan, Rajisha Vijayan, Sruthi Ramachandran and others played key roles. Mammootty produced the film under his home banner and Mujeeb Majeed handled the music.
