It’s been a long time since Suriya scored a theatrical hit, and now all hopes are pinned on his upcoming film Karuppu. Actor-turned-director RJ Balaji has helmed this flick. The teaser received a solid response, and fans are eagerly waiting for the release. However, the makers have yet to announce the release date.
While rumors suggested that the delay in locking the digital deal was the reason behind not revealing the release date, the director clarified that it’s actually due to extensive CG work. RJ Balaji shared delightful news, stating that the movie has come out really well and that both he and the producers absolutely loved the output.
Speaking at an award function, RJ Balaji said, “The film is almost done. We planned for a Diwali release, but it couldn’t happen due to extensive CG work. I absolutely loved this film. My producers loved it too. The first single will be out for Diwali, and Suriya sir is gonna set the screens on fire with his dance.”
Trisha plays the female lead, while SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu are bankrolling the project under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner. Sai Abhyankkar, the latest musical sensation, is composing the soundtrack.
