Rishab Shetty’s mega action spectacle Kantara: Chapter 1 is holding superbly on weekdays after a strong first weekend. Yesterday, the Kannada and Hindi versions registered a pretty good jump in collections, helping the film enter the Rs. 400 crore club.
According to the latest update provided by the makers, Kantara: Chapter 1 earned a fantastic Rs. 427.5 crores gross in its six days of run and is now marching towards the Rs. 500 crore mark. The film has already crossed Kantara’s lifetime numbers and has now become the second-highest-grossing film of all time in Sandalwood.
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the prequel stars Rukmini Vasanth as the leading lady. Gulshan Devaiah played the antagonist, while Jayaram appeared in a supporting role. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the tunes.
