The next film in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe is Thamma, headlined by Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film is slated to release on October 21, 2025. Thamma will also release in Telugu, and today the makers unveiled the film’s Telugu trailer.
The video asset gives a glimpse into a chilling vampire world with a promising mix of romance, comedy, and thrills. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays Yakshasan, a menacing vampire trapped in a cave for years until Ayushmann Khurrana discovers him. Soon after, Ayushmann begins to transform, growing sharp fangs and developing a strong body which can sustain any level of injuries.
Rashmika Mandanna also plays a vampire who falls in love with the protagonist. The lead pair shares strong chemistry, though Rashmika keeps reminding the protagonist that they both belong to different worlds. The trailer ends on a high note with action sequences between the hero and the antagonist. Paresh Rawal is seen as Ayushmann’s father.
Like their previous outings, Maddock Films promises an entertaining ride with Thamma, whose screenplay is penned by Niren Bhatt, Arun Fulara, and Suresh Mathew. The Telugu version is being presented by Suresh Productions.
