Recent Tollywood sensation Mirai, starring Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj and directed by Kartik Gattamaneni, has stormed the box office. By the end of its fifth day, the film crossed the Rs. 100 crore gross mark worldwide and $2 million in North America.

In a recent interview, Manchu Manoj revealed intriguing details about his role as Mahabir Lama, also known as The Black Sword. When asked about his possible return in the sequel, Manoj teased, “Did you see him dying?”

In the film, The Black Sword disappears after being struck by Lord Rama’s sacred arrow. Importantly, he is not shown dead. His character had already gathered all nine Ashoka Scripters, which grant god-like powers. Although he only partially absorbed their energy, he failed to harness it completely.

Manoj’s remarks suggest that The Black Sword may return in the sequel, potentially stronger than ever, leaving audiences curious about how powerful he could become. Meanwhile, People Media Factory and the cast are celebrating Mirai’s massive success. Fans now eagerly await director Kartik Gattamaneni to begin work on the sequel.
