The World Book of Records, London, has included Nandamuri Balakrishna in their Gold Edition for his memorable career spanning 50 years as a lead actor in Indian cinema. Today, Balakrishna was felicitated in Hyderabad for this achievement, in a ceremony graced by ministers from both Telugu states, including Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar Garu, Shri Komatireddy Venkat Reddy Garu, and Shri Nara Lokesh Garu.
Balakrishna thanked the honorable ministers and other dignitaries for attending the occasion. At the event, Balayya said, “I am scared of numbers. Except for the number of films I have done, I don’t remember the records created by my films, like how many days they ran. Only fans will remember those details.”
The actor further added, “I constantly have an argument with my grandchildren. They should call me ‘Bala’ and not grandfather. If they don’t listen to me, I will give them coating (laughs). I am filled with deep humility for this recognition. This isn’t just a personal milestone, but a journey I am privileged to share with all of you.”
