Bollywood star hero Ajay Devgn is reportedly bankrolling an ambitious period action-creature film. Gehraiyaan fame Siddhant Chaturvedi will play the lead role. What’s interesting about this project is that it will be directed by Neha Sharma, the actress who made her debut with Chirutha, the same film that also introduced star hero Ram Charan.
A report in News18 mentioned that the project is being made for a leading OTT platform and carries a scale rarely seen in Indian cinema. Initially, Ajay Devgn was said to have been approached to play a parallel lead. However, the actor has reportedly chose to pass on acting duties and instead come on board as producer under his own banner.
Mohit Raina will play the other lead role. The pre-production is currently underway with plans to take the film on floors in October. If the news turns out to be true it will mark a big leap in Neha Sharma’s career who mostly played glamourous roles. Can Neha Sharma emerge succesful in her new path? Let’s wait and see.
