We earlier reported that Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 might have a runtime of over 3 hours. Today, YRF’s spy actioner wrapped up its censor formalities. The big-ticket entertainer has been certified U/A 16+ by the censor board, with an approved runtime of 182 minutes (3 hours and 2 minutes).
The update about the film’s duration is sending shockwaves among the general public. No other film from the YRF Spy Universe has crossed the 3-hour mark, and now War 2 seems set to join the list of biggies like Pushpa 2: The Rule, RRR, and Animal, which were also notably lengthy.
However, the genres of those films are completely different from War 2, which is why audiences are a bit skeptical. Ayan Mukerji’s screenplay must be watertight, ensuring the film never slows down or causes boredom. Additionally, War 2 is facing massive pressure from Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie.
