Vijay Deverakonda’s recently released pan-India action drama, Kingdom, had a decent first weekend at the global box office. The makers today announced that the film collected a total of Rs 82 crore gross until Sunday.
However, Kingdom’s fate at the North American box office looks uncertain. The film has amassed over $1.65 million at the ticket counters across the USA and Canada. The film has dropped big in the region, and trade circles express concerns about the film reaching the break-even mark of $2.10 million. The film needs to pick up pace and continue the momentum to land its buyers in the safe zone.
Also starring young beauty Bhagyashri Borse, Satyadev, and Venkitesh in lead roles, Kingdom is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Anirudh Ravichander is the film’s music composer.
