After delivering a blockbuster with Sankranthiki Vasthunam, ace producer Dil Raju is gearing up for his next release, Thammudu, which has Nithiin in the lead role. The film is directed by Sriram Venu, with Laya, Varsha Bollamma, and Sapthami Gowda (in her Telugu debut) playing key roles. Thammudu is up for a grand release this Friday. On this occasion, Sapthami Gowda shared her thoughts about the film.
She said, “Thammudu has a slightly serious subject, but my character brings fun to the film. I play Ratna. Laya garu and Nithiin garu visit the village of Ambaragodugu under certain circumstances. How Ratna becomes part of their journey is interesting. Without knowing their situation, I behave jovially with them, which creates humor for the audience.”
Sapthami Gowda believes her debut Telugu film will earn her a good name. The actress practised horse riding and also performed action sequences for Thammudu. Sapthami Gowda lauded director Venu Sriram for penning strong female roles. The Sandalwood beauty stresses that Thammudu must be experienced only in theatres for its grand scale and visuals.
