Nithiin, a confessed Pawan Kalyan fan, has revealed that he was initially unhappy with the title Thammudu for his upcoming film, hitting screens on July 4.

He admitted fearing backlash for reusing the iconic title of Pawan Kalyan’s 1999 cult hit. “I thought people would troll me for using the same name again, especially since I’m a big fan of Pawan garu,” Nithiin shared in a recent interview.

Nithiin adds that the producer Dil Raju and director Venu Sreeram convinced him that the story needed that title. With the release approaching, fans are curious to see how this new Thammudu shapes up.
