Yesteryear Telugu actress Laya is all set to make a grand comeback with Nithiin’s upcoming film Thammudu. Directed by Venu Sriram, the film is being produced by Dil Raju.

In a recent interview, Laya revealed that she signed the project mainly because of Dil Raju’s involvement and the strength of the story.

She said the role excited her and that the script had emotional depth and a lot of scope for her to perform. Laya, who has been away from the limelight for several years, expressed her excitement about returning to the big screen with such a prestigious banner as a blessing.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see her in this much-anticipated project. Sreeram Venu directed the film, which also has Varsha Bollama and Saptami Gowda in key roles.
