Akhil Akkineni recently began a new chapter in his life by marrying his long-time girlfriend, Zainab Ravdjee. Following the intimate wedding, the family hosted a grand reception in Hyderabad, attended by celebrities from various walks of life.
On the professional front, Akhil will next be seen in a film titled Lenin, directed by Murali Kishore Abburu of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame. According to a report in Telugu media, Lenin will center around the issue of honor killings. A few Tollywood filmmakers have already tackled this sensitive subject. If the report is accurate, it will be interesting to see how this element is portrayed in the Akhil starrer.
It is also said that the movie includes a subplot related to a temple. Lenin is set against the Rayalaseema backdrop. Akhil has undergone a makeover for his role, which was evident in the first glimpse. Sreeleela plays the female lead.
The project is being jointly produced by Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments and Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios. Thaman is the music composer. Akhil disappointed Akkineni fans and movie buffs with his last outing Agent. Let’s see if he can make a comeback with Lenin.
