Trade pundits expected Stree 2 to perform well, but none thought the movie would join the covered Rs. 600 crore net club in India. The horror comedy entertainer headlined by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao took many by surprise and smashed the box office left, right, and center.
However, Shraddha hasn’t announced any project after Stree 2, which has disappointed her fans. The adorable actress is aiming to strike big once again, and hence, she isn’t in a hurry to sign the films. According to Pink Villa, the actress is currently holding talks with director Laxman Utekar, who scored a mighty blockbuster with Chhaava.
The report mentioned, “Laxman and Shraddha discussed a script, which the latter has loved and principally agreed on. If everything goes well, Shraddha Kapoor will spearhead Laxman Uttekar’s next. The film is based on a Marathi novel, and will feature Shraddha playing a Maharashtrian on screen.”
Maddock Films, which bankrolled the mega-blockbusters Chhaava and Stree 2, will produce Laxman Utekar’s upcoming film. The makers are trying to rope in a star hero as the male protagonist. If everything falls into place, we might expect an official announcement soon.
