Amidst the accusations that bigwigs from the industry are sabotaging the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, by orchestrating a theater strike, Pawan Kalyan’s office issued a sarcastic note on the issue which shook the industry. Top producer Allu Aravind came in support of Pawan and told media that it’s foolish if someone tries to stop a Pawan Kalyan’s film.
Today AP Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh spoke to the media about the latest developments in the industry. He said, “The coalition government is always ready to support exhibitors, distributors, and producers. Home department inquiry into the theatre shutdown is ongoing. We will reveal the facts after receiving the report.”
The minister also stated, “We are working on a new film policy that will be acceptable to all. We only ordered an inquiry, not arrests. We need not respond to ignorant criticism by those with whom lacks knowledge about cinema(referring to opposition leaders). People should speak only after knowing the facts.”
Durgesh accused the previous government of harassing the movie stars. He reiterated that the coalition government respects cinema as a cultural medium and will not insult or target industry figures like the previous administration. Durgesh reminded the public of the meeting held with industry leaders after the coalition took office and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s promise to remain accessible.
It is said that the new film policy is aimed to streamline and standardize administrative issues. Durgesh supported Allu Aravind’s recent statements and emphasized the need for unity within the industry. Durgesh further praised AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for their efforts to develop the film industry.
