The much-talked-about action drama Retro, starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is all set for its digital premiere. Netflix has officially announced that Retro will start streaming from May 31, 2025, in Tamil, Telugu, and several other major Indian languages.
Interestingly, the gap between the theatrical release and the OTT debut is less than a month, signaling a quick move to digital following its performance at the box office.
Despite the star power and anticipation, Retro failed to impress in theatres, especially in the Telugu states, where it underperformed significantly. Now, all eyes are on how the film will fare on streaming platforms, with fans and viewers curious to see if it finds a second wind on Netflix.
The film boasts a strong supporting cast including Joju George, Nassar, Vidhu, and Jayaram in key roles. Produced by Stone Bench Films in association with 2D Entertainment, Retro features music by renowned composer Santhosh Narayanan.
