Bhairavam is the next noted release from Tollywood. The movie starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Manchu Manoj, and Nara Rohit is directed by Vijay Kanakamedala of Naandhi fame. The team is aggressively promoting the film. Bhairavam is the official remake of the Tamil blockbuster Garudan. In an interview, Bellamkonda Sreenivas made interesting comments about remakes.

The actor said, “According to me, there are only two categories: good film and bad film. That’s it. I don’t accept when someone says remakes won’t do well. Take Drishyam, for example. It performed superbly everywhere. Many Hindi people whom I know watched Mohanlal Garu’s version. Yet, Ajay Devgn Garu’s remake became a blockbuster, collecting over Rs. 200 crores.”

Bellamkonda Sreenivas added, “If the film is good, it will be encouraged by audiences across languages, irrespective of whether it is a remake or not. Ultimately, the movie has to be good. I don’t accept it if someone calls Bhairavam as Garudan’s remake. We just took Garudan’s soul and made Bhairavam in such a way that it appeals to Telugu audiences by adding all the ingredients.”
