Can these two upcoming remakes avoid biting the dust?

Before the pandemic, remake films used to run well in Bollywood. There have been multiple instances where remakes even made more money than the original versions. But after Covid, the situation has changed significantly. People no longer are showing interest to watch remake films.

The same has been proven by the results of many Bollywood remakes lately. Recently Akshay’s Selfiee (remake of Driving License) also failed in attracting audiences. Now the biggest question is, can Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa and Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jhan avoid biting the dust?

While Ajay Devgn’s Bhola is the official remake of Karthi’s Khaiti, Salman’s film is the remake of Ajith’s Veeram (Katamarayudu in Telugu). Only Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 (a remake of the Malayalam hit Drishyam 2) was able to win over the audiences after Covid, and it will be interesting to watch how these films perform. Bholaa releases on 30 March 2023, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jhan will open in cinemas on 21 April 2023.
