Waltair Veerayya starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, is up for a grand release on 13th January. Produced by the most happening Mythri Movie, Makers, the movie is directed by Bobby and has Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja in a vital role. In a recent media interview, the director revealed the reason why the film is titled Waltair Veerayya.
Bobby said that Nasser gave him a book while shooting for Venky Mama in Yaganti. A character in it is named Veerayya, which caught the director’s interest instantly. Bobby said he told his team about making a film with the Veerayya title. Bobby further stated an incident that helped Chiru to pursue his acting career.
Accordingly, a police constable who worked under Chiru’s father helped Chiru with a photo shoot, making the actor come to Madras. Bobby said that the police constable’s name was also Veerayya coincidentally. So, I thought Veerayya title would be good and said the same thing to Chiru Garu, said Bobby. He noted that Chiru also liked it, and hence they locked it as the title.
