The confusion is still on about the schedule of big ticket Tamil releases this Pongal season. It is confirmed that Varisu (Varasudu in Telugu) and Thunivu (Thegimpu in Telugu) are lined up for release but their release plans are yet to be announced.

There are reports that Thunivu could be releasing in the 11th of January and Varasudu could be releasing on the 12th of January. But the makers of these two films haven’t yet announced the release dates.

There is still just a week to go for the Sankranthi holiday season, it is about time that these films lock the release dates but the thing here is that the makers are not in a hurry. More clarity is expected to emerge in next couple of days.
